Today We Pray - Dec 31, 2016

                                       

Dear Lord, let Your Word richly dwell within me all this day. May I not forget the strength that comforted me in the desolation of other times. Spare me from bitterness and from the sharp passions of unguarded moments.

Teach me still to be thankful for life, and for time's olden memories that are good and sweet. Help me to have courage amid the turmoils of the changing years. Let me not follow the demands of the world, but walk calmly in Your path.

Thank You, Father, for the peace of mind that comes from knowing You are standing watch over the events of our lives. Help us to rest securely in Your presence. And whatever I do in word or deed, may I do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Today We Pray - Dec 30, 2016

                                        

Dear Lord, as I rejoice in the gift of this new day, may the light of Your presence fill me with love for you and my fellow man. Defend me this day against all the instincts that tempt me away from love of my fellow man. Let me put aside every sort of prejudice and bias against other people who are different from me.

Let me accept others for who they are. Let me know that they are Your creatures, and that You love them just as You love me. Let me not be stingy with my affection or my support of others out of jealousy, or greed, or pridefulness; but look upon the work of others, and their well-being, as I look upon my own.

I am weak, Lord, and I often stumble and let myself lapse into irritation or anger at others; but through your Holy Spirit, all things are possible. And, I ask that today you be with me at every moment, and fill me with the capacity for love that only your Spirit can bring to me. In the name of my Lord Christ I ask this.

Dear Lord, be with me this day. Purify us from all unrighteousness. Sustain us from all of our needs.

Always lead us to the right path, Lord. I know You are always there before us to guide us and protect us. May Your Words and Your goodness guide my every thought.

Help me to straighten out my mind and life. Lead me, Lord, and let your Holy Spirit guide me. Help me to keep my mind open to the truth, as always.

Dear Heavenly Father, I declare that I do not fear this day, for you are with me wherever I will go. Your light will shine and your footsteps will lead me the way. Your word will be my guide, Your strength will sustain me and Your love revive me.

Direct our plans according to what is good and pleasing in Your sight. I will let go of concerns and worries that may be dragging me down at this present moment. I place any concerns I have in Your hands.

Help me to think about excellent things, Lord. I will give my all for Your glory and honor. Help me to be at peace with all things.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for always being there for me. I know with certainty there were times when You carried me, Lord. It was through Your strength I got through the dark times in my life.

Take away from me my sins, Lord. Also, take away from me the heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. Give me heart to love, adore, delight You more.

Help me to follow You always. Let me enjoy in Your presence. Let me behave with prudence to ensure my eternal future with You, Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am very thankful that I have woken up alive this morning, once again. I will be witnessing again the magnificence and the glory of your creation. Indeed, You are more than wonderful, God.

Even on the darkest hours, let me rejoice in the taste of Heaven you give us on earth. All of Your Creations have a great beauty if I just take the time to see it. How perfect are they, Lord!

Let me be always filled with gratitude for the world you have given me. Grant me strength and courage to love and serve You with gladness and singleness of heart. Thank You for graciously accepted me as a living member of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, I abandon myself into Your hands. Do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you.

I thank You that in all of our pains and struggles, we can find comfort in You. Help us to bring all our hurts to You, both spiritual and physical. Help us to trust in You that You will make us whole.

Dear Jesus, please give me a lot of patience to make it through this day. Let me find the quiet time to hear Your voice and feel Your calming presence. Let my sweet love to You grow day by day.

Guard our hearts, Lord. Protect it from all the negativities in life. Sit on the throne of my heart Lord and I will make You the King of Kings of it.


Take my heart and hand. Guide me all the way. Grant the desires of my heart in accordance to Your will.

Dear Lord, as I come before you this morning, I am filled with thanks that you have given me a meaningful life. I receive this gift from you, which is having a purpose for me in this world. Even if I feel worthless, I can feel my purpose here in this Earth.

Dear God, you make me glad everyday. Whatever comes my way, please come near to me, Lord, to help. I cannot make it through anything without You.

Give me the peace to worship you with my whole heart and mind, forgetting the cares of the world, and dwelling with you for a short moment with my entire being. Give me this day such blessing through my worship of you, that the week to come may be spent in living knowledge of your peace. Please allow the Holy Spirit to work in me so I will be willing and able to mention the good news to anyone who needs You.

I ask You Dear God to inspire me to encourage others by what I say and do today and throughout the coming week. Never let me look down on others or make anyone feel inferior. Show me how to live this week with genuine concern for others.

Dear Lord, thank You for bringing me again to the beginning of a new day. As the day is renewed fresh and clean, I ask you to renew my heart with your strength and purpose. Forgive me the errors of yesterday and bless me to walk closer in your way today.

This is the day I begin my life anew; shine through me so that every person I meet may feel your presence in my soul. Take my hand, precious Lord, for I cannot make it by myself. Help me to remember that nothing of earthly value owns timeless truth.

Dear Lord, thank You for Your love that is rich and pure, measureless and strong. You are our most merciful Father. We glorify and praise Your Name for Your protection both night and day.

Remove my sins from Your presence, as far as the east is from the west. As I pray, give me grace to hear You calling on me through Your Words. Let it be the wisdom, righteousness, reconciliation and peace to our souls.

Dear Lord, I come to You today to thank You for all the blessings that You have given me. Continue to pull me to Yourself, guide me in my journey. Hold me close in Your loving arms until the day I come home to be with You.

Help us not to define our self-worth by what we do for You, but by what You have done for us. Show us how we can show Your love to others. And, help us to live as a mirror of Jesus, so that we might reach out to others, too.

There are wonderful things that I do not know, nor can I understand, I pray to be thankful when I hear of all of them, to appreciate everything that comes across my path. So often life hurts, and I get angry or upset; I do not understand, yet you ask me to be thankful for everything, and have faith. Be with me forevermore.

Father, You are the craftsman who carved me, You are the one who knows what shape my life should take. Thank You for molding me into the image that You have planned. Help me to trust that the pieces and parts that You formed from me are the right ones.

Help me to go about the tasks and duties of this day and the week to come with the remembrance that I am your servant. Make me an honest, painstaking, and cheerful person. Let that all I do and say may bring good to others and glory to your Holy Name.

Support me all the day long of this life, until the evening comes, the busy world is silenced, the fever of life is over and my work is done. Grant me a safe lodging, and a holy rest and a peace. This is all we ask in Your most precious name.

Dear Heavenly Father, as I face another day, I know I am going to face many challenges, please help me to overcome those things. Help me to trust in You that You will guide me in everything that I will do. Come to me now, Lord, and stay with me all day.

Please help me also to turn my worries into prayer. My problems are better in Your hands than in my own. I commit myself to give this day to you.

Dear Lord, You are the God who sees us, and yet we can still run to You. We need You to do in us what we cannot do for ourselves. Please remove any mountain of pride or valley of despair that would keep us from welcoming You into our lives.

Grant me that desire to spend time in your presence always. Help me to hear your call and to turn down the world’s volume so that I can hear it. Dwell with me., Lord.

Dear God, as I stumble through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more cheer than gloom, spread more joy than despair. Let me remind those I meet that our final existence will be total joy, and that we may taste this joy through the Spirit even today.

Have mercy on me according to your steadfast love. With Your abundant mercy, cleanse me from all my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and forgive me from my sin.

Never let me become so indifferent that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a child, or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy, and forget momentarily all the temporary unpleasantness in their lives. This I ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Dear God, You are such an amazing comfort to us. You are the King eternal, immortal and invisible. Before the mountains were made, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God; the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Thank You that our salvation and spiritual well-being does not depend on our failing minds and bodies, but on You and to Your Word. You alone are God, and do not change. And because of this, we may hope to be preserved.

Have mercy on me, forgive me for these offenses and any I might have omitted from forgetfulness or ignorance. And, I pray that your Holy Spirit may dwell with me today and throughout the new week, to comfort me, to give me strength against temptation, and to guide me into the path of righteousness. Dear Lord, I come before You today and I thank You for all the blessings that You have showered in my life. Many times my life is so full of busyness that I take for granted my relationship with You, please forgive me for that. I know that You never forsake me, for if You did my very life would cease to be.

We really need You, Lord. By Your Holy Spirit, help us replace any selfish thoughts, words, and actions with things that please You and draw others to You. Guide me in my journey with You everyday.

Dear Lord, let me feel Your presence today as I talk to You. May we fulfill Your calling today by walking the road of faith and encouragement with others. Help me to keep my eyes off others and instead on You and Your good heart for all of us.

When the trials in my life begin to overwhelm me with fear, help me to trust in You. I cannot do this alone, Lord. Help me in all things to rely on Your holy will.

Lord, I pause for a moment now and reflect on Your life-giving presence. I invite You in every part of my body, in everything around me and in the whole of my life. Let me feel You everywhere I go.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may have inner freedom. Let your Holy Spirit instil in my heart. I desire to know and love you more each day.

I also pray for the gift of acceptance and forgiveness for all of my sins. Help me also to be spiritually alert all the time. Cleanse me and use me for Your glory.

Today We Pray - Nov 14, 2016

                                       

Heavenly Father, I long for Your presence more and more everyday. Every time I turn my thoughts on You, I find peace and contentment. Teach me to be still and enjoy the pleasures created for me.

Help us today to embrace all that You have given us. Thank You for the forgiveness, hope, encouragement and power to live a new life. Thank You also for the gift of freedom.

I exist in this world because of Your love. Help me to never take the gift of life for granted. You know what is best for me, Lord, I put my trust in You.

Heavenly Father, Your words lead us to the calmness and greatness of Your Presence. Grant me the grace to have freedom of the spirit. Cleanse me from all of my sins so that I can live joyously.

Give me strength of character and perseverance to serve you better. Help me not to be discouraged when things get tough. But, let me rely on You to see me through.

I find peace and contentment in Your presence. My soul longs for it more and more, Lord. Be with me forevermore.

O Lord my God, I praise You for all You have done throughout my life. I look forward with thankfulness for all You will do in the future. And, I thank You for today and all Your blessings.

When I turn my thoughts to you, I find peace and contentment. Help me to know, love and serve You more. I ask for Your help to be free from my own preoccupations.

May Your Holy Spirit guide me to seek Your Loving presence more and more. For it is there I find rest and refreshment from this busy world. My soul longs for you, Jesus.
