Today We Pray - Nov 30, 2016

                                   

Dear Lord, let me feel Your presence today as I talk to You. May we fulfill Your calling today by walking the road of faith and encouragement with others. Help me to keep my eyes off others and instead on You and Your good heart for all of us.

When the trials in my life begin to overwhelm me with fear, help me to trust in You. I cannot do this alone, Lord. Help me in all things to rely on Your holy will.

Give me the strength to greet the coming week in peace. Reveal Your will to me every hour of the day. And, in all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know that prayer isn’t a good-luck charm. But, I come to You now because there’s no one better to talk to. Let my heart become one with yours.

Help me to be fully alive to your Holy presence. Enfold me in your love everyday, Lord. Inspire me to live in the freedom you intended, with a heart untroubled and with complete trust in You.

Lord, I know that when I turn to you there is no need for words. You can see into my heart, You know my desires and you know my needs. I place myself into Your loving hands.

Lord, I pause for a moment and think of the love and the grace that You shower on me. Thank You for creating me in Your image and likeness. Thank You also for making me Your dwelling-place.

I am happy to be here in Your presence, ‘coz I am very much at peace. I may be frustrated, worried or angry, but I acknowledge how I really am. Thank You for loving the real me.


Lord, in Your wisdom You established Your church as a place for us to love and care for each other. Help me to extend the grace to each and everyone. And, I trust You with all of my circumstances today.

Dear Lord, at this moment, I turn my thoughts to You. I will set aside my chores and preoccupations. I will take rest and refreshment in your presence.

Grant me the grace to be free from the excesses of this life. Let me not get caught up with the desire for wealth. Keep my heart and mind free to love and serve You.

Amidst the many things that have a hold on me, I always reflect on Your presence and with Your love. I know that when I turn to You there is no need for words, You can see into my heart. You know my desires and you know my needs, I place myself into your hands.

Father in Heaven, How wonderful it is to be able to enter into your presence. No matter what time it is and no matter which land I am in, I need only to speak your name. Thank You for always being there for us.

Thank You also for the light that came into the world and for the light that You brought into my life. Help me to remain grateful and to be Your light in the dark world around me. Also, help me to portray a Christ-like character wherever I will go.

I give you my heart that you may love in me. I give you my whole self, Lord, that you may grow in me, so that it is you who lives, works and prays in me. I give everything in my life, use me O Lord.

Heavenly Father, I am grateful that although I cannot comprehend You, I can know You. Remind me that even though You and Your ways might be beyond me, I can always count on Your love for me and Your presence with me. You are indeed worthy of our worship, God.

Thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming to You as my Father. You know my needs before I even ask. Thank You that You will never turn me away.

Help me to pursue a life that is pleasing to You and honors Your name. Let me not conform to the pattern of this world, renew my mind to pursue godly things, so that I can honor and glorify Your Name in everything that I do.

Father God, help me to be still and focus my mind. Quiet my heart and fill me with Your thoughts throughout this day. Help me to keep an open heart to listen to others and to share about what You have done.

Thank You for Your protection. Shield me from anything that would take my focus away from You. Help me also to love others as You do.

Sometimes, it seems as if I can only see the knots and tangles in the tapestry of my life. Please help me to open my eyes and see the beautiful picture You are weaving. Lastly, help me recognize the people in my life who need someone to stand with them.

Dear Lord, You are an almighty and everlasting God, who has safely brought me to the beginning of this day. I give You thanks for all the blessings in my life. In Your grace and mercy, may we know that you watch over us.

Give me wisdom each day to see which things are important, and which things are not. Show me the best time on how to use the talents that you have given me. Help me to use all my opportunities wisely, that I may share the good gifts I have received from you.

Help me to be a good steward of yours. Help me to spread Your love more and more to the people around me. We receive this gift of salvation that you gave long ago that comes from You. We love You, Lord.

Dear Lord, as I call on you today, I realize that I often come asking for favours. Today, I'd like just to be in your presence. Let my heart respond to Your Unfailing Love.

Many nations at this moment are suffering the agonies of war. I bow my head in thanksgiving for my freedom. I also pray for all prisoners and captives.

I thank You because even if I am a nobody, You listen to my cries. Thank You for making me special in Your eyesight. Thank You for Your amazing love to us, Lord.

Dear Lord, let me begin this day in sincere meditations. Thank You for this indescribable joy. We bless and praise Your Name, ‘coz you have given me such good hope and everlasting comfort.

Let me remember always that I am not in charge of the world. Give me total faith that you know what you are doing. Grant me to live in love and peace, as what You did and taught us to do.

Lift up my mind above all these little things below, which are apt to distract my thoughts. Also, Keep it above, until my heart is fully resolved to seek You every day. Lead me to the right path, Lord.

Lord, it is indeed a wonderful blessing that You are always there for us. At any time of the day or night we can call on You, You are always waiting, listening for our call. With just our whispers, You hear our call.

Grant me the desire to spend time in your presence always. I am also always here to hear Your call. Help me to tone down the world’s volume so that I may hear Your voice.

Orchestrate my desires in a vibrant loving melody rich in harmony. Move me with Your Holy Word every day of my life. Console me to act in a new way that is pleasing to Your eyes and will glorify Your Name, forevermore.

Dear Lord, give me grace everyday. You are everywhere present, from you no secret can be hidden. Save me from deceiving myself by pride or vanity.

Whenever I am broken Lord, I lift this heart up to you. Heal it and make it new. Thank You for saving my crushed spirit.

Always teach me how to pray, Lord. I know how you love to listen to my prayers. Teach me more to fix my thoughts on you, with reverence and devotion, that I may not pray in vain.

You are a wonderful and magnificent God, O Lord. We praise Your name, forever. Thank You for granting things that are best for me.

Sometimes, Lord, life seems out of control and I don’t know exactly which direction to take. Thank You for overseeing my life and prompting me in the right way through Your Word and Your Spirit. I also pray for the gift of acceptance and forgiveness.

Remind me Lord that the best things in life are free, like love, laughter, caring and sharing. Grant me peace of mind that I may be free from greed and selfishness. Help me to place myself fully in Your care, Lord.

Instill in my heart a desire to know and love you more each day. Give me a sense of hope, encouragement, and growth areas in my life. Let me produce a rich fruit that comes from serving you wholeheartedly.

Dear Lord, I pause for a moment today and talk to You. As I pray, I feel your presence gazing on me with love and holding me in being. You are welcome in this place, Lord.

I ask that You help me overcome my fears with Your love. You’ve given Your love to me so freely, and it’s wrong for me not to give it away. Help me not be so purpose-driven that I forget my real purpose to love and have a relationship with people.

Let your grace shape me everyday. I speak out to you what I feel today like as one trusted friend to another. Listen to the cries of my heart, Lord.

Lord, you are always there
waiting for me.
May I never be too busy to
find time to spend in your presence.

A thick and shapeless tree-trunk
would never believe that it could become a statue,
admired as a miracle of sculpture,
and would never submit itself to the chisel of the sculptor,
who sees by his genius what he can make of it .
I ask for the grace to let myself be shaped by my loving Creator.

I ask how I am within myself today?
Am I particularly tired, stressed, or off-form?
If any of these characteristics apply,
can I try to let go of the concerns that disturb me?

and reflect on God's life-giving presence
in every part of my body, in everything around me,
in the whole of my life.

By God's grace I was born to live in freedom.
Free to enjoy the pleasures He created for me.
Dear Lord, grant that I may live as You intended,
with complete confidence in Your Loving care.

Where do I sense hope, encouragement, and growth areas in my life? By looking back over the last few months, I may be able to see which activities and occasions have produced rich fruit.  If I do notice such areas, I will determine to give those areas both time and space in the future
